Happy Halloween from your #1 ghost photography enthusiast (me, it’s me).
I’m guessing I spend more time Googling “real pictures of ghosts” than the average person. I watch TV shows like Ghost Adventures (aka Bros-N-Ghosts) hoping to see something anything that validates the creepy feeling that there’s something in the room with us right now. They rarely, if ever, have evidence. Usually, Zak Bagans pretends to be possessed and screams at the ghost to ‘come at me, bro’. Honestly? No wonder people always hear ghosts say shit like “get out”. If you were screaming at me in my own home??? Hell no, bro. GET OUT!

The best video or photographic evidence that I have ever seen of a ghost is of a ghost cat. Si, A GHOST CAT. The cat’s name is Sweet Thing and she haunted the Shanley Hotel which is the hotel I had to spend the night in when I was on a ghost-hunting reality show (we simply do not have time to discuss this - no further questions).
You can watch Sweet Thing walk here:
I’ve previously written a little bit about ghost photography - and guess what? I’ve since taken photos of EVEN MORE GHOSTS.
A year ago I walked through the cemetery during a full moon (I know!!!) simply because it was unlocked on my walk home. My phone went wild in the cemetery with photos like this:
I am not doctoring these photos. I simply do not know how to do that. These are all unfiltered, untouched, unhijinked.
For my graduate school graduation present, my fiance got us a ghost-hunting tour of The Savannah Theater in Savannah, GA. The Savannah Theater is considered one of the oldest continually running theaters in the entire country. There is a theater in Philly that makes the same claim and I’m not about to start a beef with anyone from Philly. So it’s ONE OF the oldest as it opened its doors in 1818. They say it’s so old that John Wilkes Booth’s dad performed there. Did you know that he was an actor? It’s true! Did you also know that his dad, Junius Booth, also threatened to kill a sitting president? Inherited traits are amazing! (To be fair, the president was Andrew Jackson, so like…)
Back to the tour. My skeptical cousin and uncle joined us as we donned EMF meters and other HIGHLY SCIENTIFIC ghost-hunting materials as three goths with Big Stage Manager Energy let us loose in the theater. It was such a treat.
Many ghosts are haunting The Savannah Theater because that place has had an overwhelming amount of deathly fires. A little boy died in a fire in the 1940s and a diva ghost named Elizabeth (or “Betty”) died in a fire while she was warming up her voice for her opening night performance in the 1890s.
We experienced some activity on the stage. I snapped this photo below where I think I caught a spirit on camera. Look at the anomaly on the upper right-hand side. In real life, there is only a black curtain there.
At one point, I entered a dressing room that had a tool in it that picked up voices from the other side. It worked like a radio set to static. You’d hear static and then every now and then, as clear as day, you’d hear someone speak. I was finally alone with the equipment so I began asking questions. The EMF meter started going nuts, so much so that one of the goths burst through the door with Monster Energy-infused flair and said he saw this happening on the security camera. He plopped down and pulled out another tool, telling me that he thought I was speaking to his favorite ghost.
His favorite ghost had a lot to say. She eventually told me that I was in danger. Around that time, the other people on the hunt came in and started asking silly questions such as “Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?” Amateurs!
My fiance accused me of taking this way too seriously in my attempts to communicate with the other side as I kept giving dirty looks to the interlopers who so rudely interrupted my ghost conversation.
I left the room and had one more interaction with a spirit. We were told of an angry old man ghost named Carl who is an anti-social bigot. My cousin and I began talking to Carl. I asked him if he liked people and he said: “fuck people”. It was crystal clear, folks.
You might say: what’s the point of all of this? I don’t know. To have spooky fun? No need to be hate on the paranormal. Live a little. See a ghost. Relax.
Want to see more pictures of ghosts? Tune in Wednesday 5 pm PST/8pmEST to see me and comedian Rob Huebel go over photographic evidence of ghosts that I’ve taken. I’m stoked! Tune in here.
On that feed, I’ll talk about weird photos - especially ones that I took at the Pirate’s House that are a lot creepier than these. Here’s a sneak peek of one such photo. I think that my reflection *might* be what you see on the right side, but the top left side appears to have an apparition and that top left side is a VERY common ghost sighting in the Pirate’s House. People say they see a little boy sitting on the stairs.

And that’s all for this Halloween season. As the busy buzzy holiday season approaches, I may go back down to being biweekly. But who knows? When the muse strikes, it strikes!
Pleasant Nightmares xoxo
